Children and young people are being encouraged to take part in The Big Future, a major national survey from the Children’s Commissioner for England.

The Children’s Commissioner wants to hear directly from children about what it is like growing up in England today and what they think should change in the future.

The survey asks about subjects including whether there are enough fun things to do locally, feeling safe in your area, online safety and hopes for the future. Children aged 12 and over are also asked about voting and the things that worry them.

It takes around five minutes to complete and is designed to be accessible to children of all ages, including those with special educational needs and disabilities. Younger children can have help from an adult if needed.

Responses will be analysed by the Children’s Commissioner and the findings shared with Government in 2027, helping decision-makers understand what matters to children and young people.

The survey is open until Friday 23 October 2026.
