Collingham in Bloom is proud to partner with John Blow Primary School to inspire a love of nature and community care from an early age. Together, we’re growing more than gardens—we’re nurturing future environmental champions.
Pupils take part in planting, composting, and creating pollinator-friendly spaces both on school grounds and around the village. Projects like seasonal planting, bug hotels, and eco-themed art help connect classroom learning with real-world sustainability.
This partnership is supported by a £500 grant from Collingham Parish Council, helping fund a new greenhouse, tools, seeds, and materials to bring the children’s ideas to life. Volunteers from Collingham in Bloom also work alongside staff and pupils, sharing skills and strengthening intergenerational connections.
By embedding environmental responsibility and horticulture into daily life, we’re building a shared sense of pride, place, and purpose.
A heartfelt thank you to John Blow Primary and the Parish Council for helping Collingham flourish—together, one seed at a time.
