Collingham & District Cricket Club

Collingham in Bloom is delighted to have partnered with Collingham & District Cricket Club to create a striking and symbolic gateway at the entrance to our judging route. This collaborative project celebrates both the beauty of horticulture and the importance of community working together to make lasting improvements to our shared spaces.

With generous support from local donors Pratt & Gelsthorpe, we have installed two substantial floral and perennial planters that now proudly frame the entrance to the cricket club grounds. Carefully designed to offer year-round structure, colour, and biodiversity, the planters feature a mix of drought-tolerant perennials, pollinator-friendly plants, and seasonal highlights to create maximum impact on judging day — and well beyond.

This initiative is more than a visual enhancement; it reflects the deep-rooted partnership between Collingham in Bloom and the Cricket Club. The site marks a key location on the RHS judges’ route and now offers a fitting and welcoming first impression that showcases our shared values: pride in place, sustainability, and community collaboration.

We extend our sincere thanks to Pratt & Gelsthorpe for their generous contribution, which has helped turn this vision into reality. Their support exemplifies the spirit of local businesses backing community-led environmental improvements.

Visitors and residents alike are invited to stop by, enjoy the display, and see how teamwork and generosity are helping Collingham truly flourish.
