The Trent Vale Trail offers a scenic route through the heart of Collingham, connecting walkers, cyclists, and nature lovers to some of the region’s most beautiful landscapes. It’s more than a path—it’s a living symbol of our community’s pride in nature, sustainability, and collaboration.
As part of the Collingham in Bloom initiative, the trail has been enriched with wildflower meadows, pollinator-friendly planting, bird boxes, and educational signage that highlights local wildlife. At the trail entrance in Collingham, volunteers have installed a vibrant floral planter—a colourful gateway welcoming visitors and showcasing our shared commitment to a greener, more beautiful village.
The trail links directly to two exceptional nature reserves:
- Besthorpe Nature Reserve, with peaceful walks and diverse wetland birdlife
- Langford Lowfields, an RSPB site featuring expansive reedbeds and a haven for rare species
The Trent Vale Trail also reflects key principles celebrated in national horticultural initiatives—blending environmental responsibility, horticultural quality, and community participation. It’s a space where biodiversity thrives thanks to thoughtful design and hands-on local involvement.
Whether you’re exploring the path for well-being, education, or simple enjoyment, the trail invites you to reconnect with nature and appreciate what community action can achieve.
