The Royal Oak Community Pub

This year, Collingham in Bloom is proud to honour the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day by creating stunning red, white, and blue floral displays across key community venues. Volunteers have worked tirelessly to decorate The Royal Oak Community Pub, the Cricket Club, and the Memorial Hall, bringing a festive spirit and heartfelt tribute to these cherished village landmarks.

Inspired by the VE Day theme, our vibrant arrangements feature seasonal blooms in patriotic colours, symbolising peace, resilience, and national pride. At The Royal Oak, cascading baskets and window boxes burst with colour, while the Cricket Club grounds have been brightened with floral planters and themed displays. The Memorial Hall entrance welcomes visitors with elegant patriotic decorations, marking the significance of this historic anniversary.

Our dedicated volunteers have shown incredible enthusiasm, highlighting the true community spirit that defines Collingham in Bloom. Together, these floral displays create a united celebration across the village, honouring the courage and sacrifice of those who fought for our freedom.

We invite all residents and visitors to enjoy these beautiful tributes, reflect on the historic significance of VE Day, and celebrate the vibrant community of Collingham.
